What you'll do

• Prepare patients for dental work
• sterilize and disinfect instruments and set up trays and rooms
• assist dentists and hygienists during procedures
• assist with medical and dental emergencies when necessary
• record treatment information and patient histories
• expose dental X-rays and care for X-ray equipment
• provide oral-health and postoperative information as directed
• maintain equipment inventory and order supplies
• form preliminary impressions and fabricate temporary restorations as described.
