Job overview

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) role is onsite in Des Plaines, IL, and the surrounding region. Pay is $19–$21 per hour for client sessions and office work after RBT certification, and $17 per hour for training and pre-certification work. Instructional ABA Consultants provides training and hands-on experience supporting autistic children. Working one-to-one with children under a BCBA supervisor’s plans, the technician helps build communication, social, and daily living skills. The role also records progress, completes clinical documentation, attends training, and communicates with behavior analysts while following confidentiality and ethical requirements.

What you'll do

  • Work one-to-one with children using Applied Behavior Analysis
  • implement individualized therapy plans created by a BCBA supervisor
  • collect data related to goals and behavior plans
  • develop play skills
  • file data and clinical documentation electronically within 24 hours
  • attend mandatory training
  • communicate proactively with a Behavior Analyst
  • maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.
