Telemedicine Physician — Part-Time, Remote

Job overview

The Telemedicine Physician role is remote, with work performed from a private, HIPAA-compliant environment; compensation is $150–$250 per hour. The physician provides virtual care on behalf of one of Beacon Talent’s partner organizations. The physician evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients through video, phone, or secure messaging, following clinical protocols and escalating cases that need in-person evaluation. The role supports outpatient care through accurate documentation, appropriate prescribing, and patient triage.

What you'll do

• Conduct virtual patient encounters by video, phone, or secure messaging
• obtain histories, assess symptoms, and develop treatment plans
• order and interpret diagnostic tests when appropriate
• e-prescribe in compliance with applicable regulations
• document encounters in the partner’s EMR/EHR
• triage and escalate patients needing in-person care, emergency services, or specialist referral
• follow clinical protocols and participate in quality review and training as required.
