The Pre-K 3 Lead Teacher role is onsite in West End, NC, with pay of $12–$14 per hour. Shining Stars CDC’s early childhood education team provides a classroom setting for three-year-old children to grow socially, emotionally, and academically. The teacher creates a safe, nurturing, engaging classroom and implements age-appropriate curriculum and activities. The role supports children’s development through instruction, supervision, family communication, and compliance with center policies and state regulations.

What you'll do

• Coordinate and implement curriculum and classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards
• follow prepared lesson plans
• model and coach the teaching team
• plan individual and group activities
• communicate with parents through discussions, progress reports, and conferences
• meet center policies and state regulations
• maintain classroom hygiene, cleanliness, safety, and security
• supervise assistants and volunteers
• maintain records
• maintain a professional development plan.

Why this role

Requires a North Carolina Early Childhood Credential or equivalent, current TB test, physical, criminal records check letter, workforce qualifications letter, and experience with children ages 2–5 in licensed childcare or preschool. First Aid/CPR/AED may be obtained if not current. The center is closed weekends and holidays.
