Registration Clerk

Job overview

The Registration Clerk role is onsite at the 3 Mile office in Logan, WV, with compensation of $15 per hour. The clerk provides support to the clinical and administrative staff of MLIH. The role exists to support patient access and clinic operations by registering patients, coordinating appointments, maintaining case records, and entering information into clinical and billing systems. Accurate records and responsive communication help clinical staff serve patients and coordinate follow-up.

What you'll do

• Register patients and collect required identification and insurance documentation
• enter and verify insurance information and coverage
• schedule and monitor appointments
• create and retrieve case records
• collect payments and issue receipts as needed
• update chart documentation
• answer and route incoming calls
• print schedules and superbills and enter superbills
• enter data into clinical recordkeeping and billing systems
• notify care managers of missed appointments and reschedule patients
• take messages and create patient cases.
