What you'll do

• Conduct outpatient lactation consultations for patients with low- to moderate-risk issues
• assess, diagnose, and address breastfeeding challenges
• counsel families on feeding techniques and goals
• and develop age-appropriate feeding plans. Apply company protocols, collaborate with colleagues and the Lactation Manager, document care in the EHR, follow up with patients, and teach milk expression techniques. Consultants are expected to work at least one weekend during a calendar month, with weekdays off when scheduled for that weekend.
