The Cockpit Lead Systems Engineer role is onsite in Lexington Park, MD, with an annual salary of $160,000–$225,000. The position supports cockpit projects for the VH-3D, VH-60N, and VH-92A aircraft within the PMA-274 Presidential Helicopters Program. The role provides engineering leadership and technical execution oversight across acquisition, development, integration, testing, certification, and sustainment of aircraft cockpit and avionics systems. It coordinates engineering teams and stakeholders to manage technical requirements, resolve integration issues, and support program delivery.

What you'll do

• Lead engineering for VH aircraft cockpit systems, including communications, navigation, surveillance and identification, controls, and displays
• support avionics acquisition, development, integration, testing, and sustainment
• develop technical roadmaps and retrofit plans
• manage requirements and technical products
• evaluate design changes and engineering change proposals
• prepare systems engineering products and SETR briefs
• identify technical risks and mitigation plans
• coordinate across program, Fleet, government, and industry organizations
• provide technical direction to engineers supporting the VH-92A Mission Systems and Software IPT.
