Part-Time School Bus Driver — Center Point

Job overview

The Part-Time School Bus Driver role is onsite in Center Point, Alabama, with morning and afternoon split shifts on weekdays. Compensation is $25 per hour after training and $15 per hour during training. First Student transports students and passengers to and from their destinations. The driver safely transports students to and from school and activities, supervises boarding and unloading, and maintains order and vehicle safety. Additional hours for field trips and special-event transportation may be available.

What you'll do

• Transport students safely to and from school and activities
• supervise boarding and unloading and assist with seatbelts and mobility aids
• maintain order on the bus
• conduct pre- and post-trip inspections
• report mechanical issues and keep the bus clean
• follow traffic laws and safety standards
• communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch.

Why this role

No experience or CDL is required to apply; training is provided. After training, candidates must meet requirements for a Class A or B CDL, passenger and school-bus endorsements, air-brake qualification, DOT physical, drug and alcohol program, and background screening.
