What you'll do

• Set up and operate CNC lathes
• select tooling and applications
• prepare work holding
• calculate speeds and feeds for different materials
• hold tolerances of +/- .0005
• use micrometers, calipers, and other inspection equipment
• read blueprints
• use specifications, job routings, geometric dimensions, and tolerances to plan machining
• troubleshoot by taking measurements, adjusting controls, and monitoring drilling and cutting.
