Early Childhood Assistant Teacher

The Early Childhood Assistant Teacher role is onsite in Massillon, OH; compensation is $13–$15 per hour. The position supports Rivertree Christian’s early childhood education team in a faith-centered classroom. Working alongside lead educators, the assistant teacher helps provide a safe, engaging environment where children can learn and develop. The role supports children’s physical, emotional, social, and spiritual growth through classroom care, educational activities, and individualized attention.

What you'll do

• Welcome children and help maintain a safe, orderly classroom
• assist with preparing and leading indoor and outdoor educational activities aligned with the curriculum
• supervise play, toileting, and meals or snacks
• review student medical and developmental histories
• maintain attendance, meal, and developmental records
• collaborate with lead teachers on classroom management
• protect confidential information
• participate in meetings, family events, and required training.
