Bilingual Automotive Wire Harness Technician

Job overview

The Bilingual Automotive Wire Harness Technician role is onsite in Lake Orion, MI. Compensation is $23 per hour. The technician serves as a technical contact between customers and internal teams, including a manufacturing facility in Mexico, to address quality concerns and support product changes and launches. The role troubleshoots electrical and assembly issues, repairs and reworks automotive wire harnesses, and verifies repairs against approved instructions and customer requirements. It also supports containment, root-cause investigations, corrective actions, prototype builds, engineering changes, product launches, and training for operators and technicians.

What you'll do

• Serve as the technical contact for customer concerns involving harness quality, engineering, and manufacturing
• troubleshoot using wiring diagrams, harness drawings, bills of materials, and engineering specifications
• repair and rework harnesses, including terminal replacement, splicing, circuit rerouting, and protective coverings
• verify repairs against work instructions and customer requirements
• coordinate containment at customer and manufacturing sites
• document issues and communicate findings and action plans to the Mexico manufacturing team
• lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions
• support prototype builds, engineering changes, and launches
• collaborate across engineering, quality, manufacturing, supply chain, and program management
• participate in customer meetings and train operators and technicians.
