Echocardiogram Technician, Private Cardiology Practice

The Echocardiogram Technician role is onsite in Bryan, TX, with a 40-hour Monday–Friday workweek and no call or weekend hours. Compensation is not specified. Central Texas Heart Center is an established cardiology practice serving the Brazos Valley. The technician performs cardiac ultrasound studies and, when appropriately credentialed, vascular studies, while ensuring patient identification, safety, and privacy. The role supports timely diagnostic testing by explaining procedures, recognizing critical results, and maintaining equipment and records.

What you'll do

• Identify patients and enter demographics into testing equipment
• explain ultrasound procedures and answer questions
• independently perform echocardiograms and carotid Doppler studies
• perform upper- or lower-extremity venous studies if credentialed in RVT or RVS
• identify critical results and notify a cardiologist
• follow data-sharing and storage protocols
• troubleshoot basic software and equipment issues
• clean and sanitize equipment and work areas
• maintain supplies.

Why this role

An accredited ultrasound-program graduate, ARDMS or CCI echocardiography registration, clinical experience, and current CPR/BLS certification are specified. RVT or RVS credentials and experience with eCW and Vidistar are a plus.
