What you'll do

• Maintain and repair optics fabrication machinery
• analyze and solve technical maintenance problems
• write and perform preventive maintenance procedures
• maintain and execute a preventive maintenance schedule for major factory equipment
• repair or replace defective components and obtain replacement parts as needed
• track purchasing costs
• create and review projects and work schedules and estimate time and cost
• interpret blueprints, specifications, and schematics
• create or revise work instructions
• suggest process, product, or morale improvements. Twenty-four-hour on-call duty is desired, not stated as required.
