The Water Plant Operator D role is onsite in Odessa, TX. Compensation is $20.37–$25.50 per hour. The position supports the City of Odessa’s Utilities Department and wastewater reclamation plant operations. Under close supervision, the operator learns to monitor, inspect, maintain, and adjust equipment used in water or wastewater facilities. The work helps maintain treatment processes, safe plant operations, and compliance with operating procedures and safety requirements.

• Assist with water treatment and distribution or wastewater collection and treatment operations
• collect wastewater samples and take meter readings
• monitor equipment and report operating variations
• perform minor preventive maintenance
• maintain safe and orderly work areas
• follow safety procedures
• support plant operations and public-facing interactions.
