Early Childhood Teacher

The Early Childhood Teacher role is onsite in Alamo, TN, leading a classroom for children ages 2½–5. Pay is $10–$13 per hour. Amelia’s Learning Center is a center-based daycare focused on early childhood development, structured play, hands-on learning, and personalized care. The teacher supports children’s learning, development, and independence through provided lesson plans, age-appropriate activities, consistent routines, and positive guidance. The role also contributes to a safe, welcoming classroom and communicates with families and the teaching team about children’s progress and needs.

What you'll do

• Follow provided lesson plans and lead activities for children ages 2½–5
• maintain routines for meals, learning, play, toileting, and rest
• supervise classroom activities and outdoor play
• guide behavior with positive reinforcement
• support language, social, emotional, and motor development
• encourage independence
• clean and sanitize classroom areas
• coordinate with the teaching assistant
• observe progress and communicate with the director and families.

Why this role
