Temporary Field Director – New York State

Job overview

The Temporary Field Director role is based anywhere in New York State, with occasional travel to locations around the state. Compensation is $7,000 per month. Citizen Action is a statewide grassroots organization working on political, social, racial, economic, and environmental justice. Reporting to the Political Director, the Field Director supports the statewide door-to-door canvassing operation. The role recruits and trains canvassers, supervises canvassers as designated, and coordinates logistics and campaign materials so the canvass can operate across communities.

What you'll do

• Recruit applicants for canvasser roles
• train and field new canvassers
• provide logistical support for the statewide canvass, including supplying and restocking campaign collateral
• supervise door canvassers as designated by the Political Director
• travel to different areas around New York State as needed.
