The Registered Dietitian position is onsite in Westland, MI; compensation is not specified. Ciena Healthcare provides skilled nursing, subacute, rehabilitative, and assisted living services in Michigan and Ohio. The dietitian oversees dietary services to help ensure residents’ nutritional needs are met in accordance with care plans, physician orders, clinical assessments, and regulations. The role guides dietary staff and coordinates menus, food service, documentation, and resident nutrition monitoring.

What you'll do

• Supervise dietary staff and department operations
• oversee food and supply purchasing within budget
• guide diet planning, menu formulation, preparation, and service of regular and therapeutic diets
• ensure menus meet resident needs and physician orders
• maintain diet histories and nutrition records
• visit residents to assess meal quality and preferences
• monitor weights and collaborate with nursing
• oversee food production, tray line, sanitation, and safe food handling
• maintain records, budgets, and supplies
• participate in care planning and quality improvement.

Why this role

Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field and current Commission on Dietetic Registration registration are required; ServSafe certification is required or must be obtained within 90 days.
