Furnace Plater Trainee – Third Shift

The Furnace Plater Trainee – Third Shift role is onsite in Lewis Center, OH. Pay is $19.00 per hour, plus a $3.00 third-shift differential. The role supports furnace plating of medical and dental components, including superabrasive parts. The trainee prepares and processes components in controlled-atmosphere furnaces, monitors process conditions, checks finished parts, and records traceability and process data. The work contributes to consistent, documented manufacturing while following cleanroom, safety, and quality requirements.

What you'll do

• Prepare and load medical and dental components for furnace plating
• operate vacuum, inert gas, or controlled-atmosphere furnaces
• monitor temperature, atmosphere, ramp rates, and soak durations
• maintain plating materials and consumables with lot traceability
• inspect parts before and after processing
• document batch traceability, temperature charts, and deviations
• conduct basic furnace maintenance, calibration checks, and leak detection
• support process validation and engineering qualification activities
• follow controlled-area, EHS, chemical-handling, and PPE procedures.
