What you'll do

• Receive material quote requests from customer service representatives
• analyze quotes and negotiate supplier prices and terms
• report order and quote totals in weekly meetings
• follow up on vendor orders
• review stock orders and quantities
• track stock orders and drop shipments
• help maintain inventory accuracy and obtain return merchandise authorizations
• maintain quote logs
• review stock-order reports
• report vendor discrepancies and follow up
• review backorder reports and expedite shipping
• follow workplace safety procedures.
