The Special Education Teacher Case Manager — Grades K–4 role is onsite in New Orleans, LA and requires travel to all three ReNEW Schools. Compensation is not specified. ReNEW Schools focuses on preparing students for the next level of achievement through academically rigorous schools and teacher development. As part of the student support team, the Teacher Case Manager supports the growth and education of students with exceptionalities in a self-contained community-based instruction setting. The role adapts and delivers instruction, manages Individualized Education Plans, monitors student progress, and collaborates with educators, paraprofessionals, families, and service providers to support student learning goals.

What you'll do

• Lead or co-lead a positive and safe classroom environment
• modify Louisiana Tier I curriculum and teach ELA and/or math to meet individual learning goals
• assess student data and adjust instruction
• collaborate with special education coordinators and general educators
• develop and monitor IEPs and student data systems
• monitor progress toward IEP goals
• schedule and lead IEP review meetings
• partner with students, families, and related service providers
• support diagnostic screening as needed.
