The position supports meal service for residents in a long-term care facility as part of Healthcare Services Group’s work to positively impact the communities it serves. The Dietary Aide helps prepare and serve meals according to residents’ dietary needs and portion sizes, while maintaining clean and sanitary kitchen and dining areas. The role contributes to residents’ meal experience through safe food handling, teamwork, and positive service to residents, staff, and guests.

What you'll do

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables and preparing salads
• serve meals according to dietary needs and portion sizes
• clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas
• follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
• interact positively with residents, staff, and guests. Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required when applicable under state or county law.

Why this role

Previous food-service or kitchen experience is preferred but not required. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. The role requires the ability to lift or carry up to 30 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
