Senior Mechanical Engineer

The Senior Mechanical Engineer is an onsite role based in Raleigh, NC, with a salary range of $120,000–$148,000 per year. This position supports the design of equipment and tooling for energetics chemical manufacturing and unmanned systems programs for U.S. Government customers. This role is responsible for taking design concepts through to production-ready drawings. The engineer will perform structural analysis, manage CAD data, and coordinate with process engineers to ensure designs meet safety and facility standards.

What you'll do

• Design mechanical equipment and facility interfaces using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Perform FEA for design validation.
• Create manufacturing-ready drawing packages.
• Mentor junior engineers and support government customer design reviews.
