Maintenance Technician – Extrusion Department

Job overview

The Maintenance Technician – Extrusion Department role is onsite in Arcola, IL, with compensation of $24–$36.25 per hour. The position supports manufacturing equipment in the Extrusion Department at The Libman Company. The technician responds to equipment problems, repairs and rebuilds parts, and performs assigned preventive maintenance. This work helps keep production machinery operating safely and supports engineering improvements.

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot machine issues reported by line technicians
• repair or rebuild broken parts
• assist technicians and operators
• assist with engineering improvements and implementation
• perform fabrication, machining, and welding as required
• complete assigned preventive maintenance
• follow safety procedures
• maintain a clean and safe work environment. Machine changeovers may be required at times.

Why this role

Day shift is Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM, and Friday, 6:00 AM–3:30 PM; night shift is Sunday–Thursday, 6:00 PM–6:00 AM, with a 15% shift premium. Shift availability depends on production needs. PLCs, frequency drives, and servo controls are a plus.
