The Technical Accountant role is a hybrid position supporting clients in the Charlotte, NC area. Compensation is not specified. RGP consultants support client accounting and finance teams on complex accounting, reporting, compliance, and transformation initiatives. This role researches and resolves accounting matters under U.S. GAAP, prepares technical accounting documentation, and supports financial reporting, audits, controls, and close activities. It contributes technical expertise to client initiatives and helps improve accounting processes and reporting.

What you'll do

• Research and resolve complex accounting matters under U.S. GAAP
• prepare technical accounting memos, position papers, and supporting documentation
• support SEC, quarterly, and year-end reporting
• address revenue recognition, leases, business combinations, consolidations, and equity matters
• support close activities, external audits, and SOX controls
• identify process and control improvements
• support accounting transformation, system implementations, and client projects. Active CPA license required.
