PLC Technician, Third Shift

Job overview

The PLC Technician role is onsite at 11160 Parkway Drive in North East, PA, working 10:00 p.m.–6:30 a.m.; compensation is $47.15 per hour. The technician supports Winland Foods production operations by maintaining electrical, control, and automation systems. The role exists to prevent downtime and keep production equipment operating safely and reliably. Troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, automation support, and team training contribute to efficient production and the company’s delivery of food products.

What you'll do

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade motors, drives, PLCs, and machine controls
• follow electrical, OSHA, and food-safety standards
• support arc-flash and lockout/tagout compliance
• coordinate thermal scans
• maintain electrical-system documentation
• follow GMP and SQF standards
• collaborate with Quality on calibration
• train team members on relay logic, motor troubleshooting, VFDs, and PLC programming
• conduct resistance testing and test equipment up to 600 volts
• support plant projects and continuous improvement.
