Emergency Veterinary Technician — Day Shift

The Emergency Veterinary Technician role is onsite in Doral, FL, with a daytime schedule of 7:00 AM–7:00 PM; rotating weekends and holidays are required. Compensation is $20–$30 per hour for certified veterinary technicians, or $20–$25 per hour for veterinary assistants. Doral Centre Animal Hospital provides emergency and critical care services to pets throughout the greater Miami area. This technician supports emergency and critical care by triaging patients, assisting with stabilization and treatment, monitoring hospitalized and ICU patients, and supporting anesthesia, surgery, and recovery. The role also includes diagnostic and laboratory tasks, medical documentation, and communication with pet owners and veterinarians.

What you'll do

• Triage emergency patients
• assist with stabilization and emergency interventions
• monitor hospitalized and ICU patients
• perform CPR and emergency response procedures
• administer medications and fluid therapy
• place IV catheters
• collect samples
• assist with imaging and laboratory testing
• document medical records
• support anesthesia, procedures, emergency surgery, and postoperative care
• communicate with pet owners and veterinarians.
