Technician II, Solar Operations and Maintenance is an onsite role in Georgetown, SC. Pay is $32.30–$38 per hour. The technician supports NovaSource Power’s utility-scale photovoltaic power plant operations and maintenance work. The role monitors plant performance and maintains solar electrical systems, including inverters, arrays, transformers, switchgear, and metering systems. Through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and documentation, the technician contributes to safe operations and plant efficiency.

What you'll do

• Monitor PV plant operation through SCADA
• commission, test, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and modify AC and DC solar PV systems
• perform preventive maintenance under supervision
• support onsite projects, installations, commissioning, inspections, and performance testing
• complete work orders and required reports
• verify SCADA site configuration
• follow safety, environmental, Job Hazard Analysis, pre-job briefing, and Lock-Out-Tag-Out procedures
• maintain site housekeeping to 5S standards
• attend assigned training
• travel as required by company needs.
