Spring Legal and Compliance Intern

Job overview

The Spring Legal and Compliance Intern role is onsite at Spirit of America’s headquarters in Arlington, VA, five days per week, from January to May 2027. Compensation is $22 per hour. Spirit of America works alongside U.S. troops and diplomats to support national security, humanitarian efforts, and lives in communities around the world. The intern supports legal operations and compliance through document management, partner risk reviews, research, and preparation of guidance materials. This work helps the legal team support the organization’s operations and mission under appropriate supervision.

What you'll do

• Organize and track contracts, grants, export-control reviews, and legal documents
• support partner-vetting risk reviews
• maintain and expand the department knowledge library
• help draft user guides and training materials
• track state corporate registrations, filings, and governance deadlines
• assist with legal research.
