What you'll do

• Operates ultrasound equipment to make quality images of designated portions of the body under the direct order of a physician and in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Accomplishes patient care in a timely, professional, efficient, and safe manner.
• Must be able to think and act independently and assess emergency situations accurately.
• Good oral and written communication skills are required.
• May be required to perform invasive and non-invasive procedures on a variety of patients, utilize sterile techniques and assist physicians as necessary.
• Continuing education, learned skills and experience will be utilized.
• This position will function without constant supervision to produce superior quality imaging studies.
• Depending on the needs of the specific department, may routinely work in additional ARDMS specialty certifications.

What we're looking for

Education

Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program

Experience

Required Education: Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program. Required License: ARDMS or ARRT Registry in Ultrasound at time of hire. Vascular Ultrasound Registry from either ARDMS, ARRT or CCI must be obtained within 12 months of hire date for Ultrasound positions at independent diagnostic testing facilities (IDTFs). Must complete required CEU’s to maintain certification. BCLS certified. Preferred Experience: 12 months previous experience in ultrasound.
