Junior Landscape Designer and Project Manager

Job overview

The Junior Landscape Designer and Project Manager role is hybrid in New York City, with travel to project sites across the five boroughs. Compensation is $25–$28 per hour. Brooklyn Grange’s Design/Build Department creates and maintains urban landscapes, including green roofs, rooftop farms, terraces, courtyards, and public-facing spaces. The role supports projects from concept development through construction, helping deliver work on time, within budget, and to design standards. It combines design support, project coordination, field involvement, and communication with clients and project teams.

What you'll do

• Assist with landscape designs, planting plans, material palettes, drawings, renderings, and site analysis
• support project timelines, budgets, procurement, coordination, records, estimates, and client materials
• participate in site visits, measurements, inspections, construction oversight, and quality control
• collaborate with crews, subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams.
