Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Residential Driver

Job overview

The CDL Residential Driver role is an onsite position based in Winnabow, NC. Compensation is not specified for this role, which supports the waste removal operations department at GFL Environmental. This role exists to provide safe, efficient, and courteous waste removal services to customers. The driver will collect solid waste or recyclables on curbside and/or backdoor routes and transport materials to post-collection facilities while maintaining high standards of safety and service quality.

What you'll do

• Operate residential/recycling collection trucks, including side-load and rear-load models.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections.
• Maintain route quality standards and communicate mechanical issues to supervisors.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local safety regulations.
• Manage assigned helpers and maintain a clean vehicle interior and exterior.
