Teacher Assistant

The Teacher Assistant role is onsite in Redwood City, CA, and is part-time. Pay is $26 per hour. The Learn Academy is a K–12 private day school serving children who need individualized behavioral and educational support. The assistant provides direct instructional support, implements ABA techniques under licensed staff direction, tracks student progress, and reinforces academic and behavioral goals to support students’ learning and participation.

What you'll do

• Provide direct instructional support to individual students or groups
• monitor behavior and ability to follow directions
• implement treatment plans using ABA techniques
• collect data and maintain progress records
• reinforce academic behaviors
• assist students in community, recreational, school, and leisure activities
• and use district-approved verbal de-escalation and safe physical restraint techniques as trained.
