Automation Technician

The Automation Technician role is onsite in Circle Pines, MN. Pay is $30–$38 per hour. Advanced Molding Technologies supports robotic and automation cells in an injection molding environment. The technician performs preventive maintenance, inspections, and basic adjustments to keep automation equipment operating and reduce downtime. The role supports production setups and goals while developing more advanced skills through on-the-job training and company-sponsored development.

What you'll do

• Perform preventive maintenance on robots, automation cells, end-of-arm tooling, and related equipment
• inspect, lubricate, clean, and make basic adjustments to robotic systems and conveyors
• make minor adjustments to existing robot programs
• assist with troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or programming issues and escalate complex problems
• support tooling changeovers, machine startups, and production setups
• document maintenance and automation work
• follow safety protocols
• participate in training, cross-training, and continuous improvement.

Why this role

Standard schedule is Monday–Friday during daytime hours, but the technician must be able to work outside those hours, including off-shifts and weekends, when business needs require. Requires a high school diploma or GED; robotics, PLC, pneumatics, or electrical familiarity is preferred.
