Companionship Caregiver

Job overview

The Companionship Caregiver role is onsite in clients’ homes in the Wilson, NC area. Compensation is $14–$20 per hour; the posting states pay starts at $14 per hour. SYNERGY HomeCare provides non-medical support to help clients remain safe, independent, and engaged at home. The caregiver offers companionship, household assistance, and appropriate supervision while supporting clients’ quality of life. The role does not include hands-on personal care or skilled nursing, and transportation or errands are performed only when approved by the agency.

What you'll do

• Engage clients in conversation and activities
• provide emotional support
• accompany clients on walks and outings
• prepare light meals and encourage hydration
• perform light housekeeping and laundry
• provide approved transportation and errands
• give medication reminders only
• observe and report changes
• document services and follow agency policies, HIPAA, infection-prevention, and safety standards.
