Daycare Cook — Morning Shift

The Daycare Cook — Morning Shift role is onsite in Charlotte, NC, with a schedule of 6:30 AM–2:30 PM. Compensation is $14–$16 per hour. The cook supports the daycare team by preparing meals and snacks for young children. The role exists to provide nutritious, balanced, age-appropriate meals that support children’s health and development. It contributes to a positive mealtime experience by coordinating food preparation and service, meeting dietary needs, and maintaining safe, sanitary kitchen operations.

What you'll do

• Plan age-appropriate menus that meet children’s dietary guidelines
• prepare, cook, and serve meals and snacks
• follow food safety and sanitation requirements
• clean kitchen areas and equipment
• coordinate special dietary needs and allergies with staff
• monitor inventory and order supplies
• support meal setup, portioning, and timely classroom delivery.
