Instructional Support Aide — Infants and Toddlers

The Instructional Support Aide role is onsite in Houston, TX. Compensation is not specified. The aide supports AVANCE Houston’s classroom program for infants, toddlers, and twos. The role provides a safe, nurturing, developmentally appropriate classroom environment and supports children’s learning and progress through individualized goals, activities, observations, and assessments. It also works with families and staff to support children’s development and classroom needs.

What you'll do

• Maintain required teacher-to-child ratios and follow Head Start, Texas child care licensing, and NAEYC requirements
• plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities
• observe children and conduct developmental assessments
• communicate with parents through conferences and home visits
• support family involvement
• supervise children
• maintain hygiene, classroom organization, and safety
• attend meetings, workshops, and trainings
• report suspected neglect, abuse, or medical concerns.
