Retail Computer Technician

Job overview

The Retail Computer Technician is an onsite role based in McNeil, TX. Compensation ranges from $18 to $35 per year, including productivity incentives, supporting the retail service team at Micro Center. This role exists to provide expert technical support, diagnose and repair electronic devices, and deliver exceptional customer service to ensure long-term customer relationships.

What you'll do

• Provide in-person consultations and troubleshooting to customers at the service counter
• recommend various service solutions including data backups, anti-virus, extended warranties, and support subscriptions
• identify, diagnose, and document hardware failure(s) or software problems on a variety of electronic devices
• assemble custom computers
• understand and utilize technical manuals and support resources
• maintain a cash till and handle customer transactions
• provide timely, complete, and accurate information directly to customers
• ensure that customer service standards are met.
