Events Manager, MOSI Events

The Events Manager role is onsite in Tampa, FL, with a salary of $35,600–$42,000 per year plus a performance bonus structure. The role is part of MOSI’s Development Department and supports the museum’s mission of promoting STEAM education. The manager plans and delivers museum-produced events from concept through evaluation, coordinating internal teams and external participants. These events are intended to increase attendance, generate revenue, and strengthen community engagement; private rentals and off-site events are outside the role’s scope.

What you'll do

• Develop event concepts, timelines, budgets, layouts, run-of-show documents, and operational plans
• secure and coordinate vendors, partners, exhibitors, and performers
• coordinate sponsor benefits
• arrange supplies and services and track expenses
• provide hands-on setup and event support
• coordinate promotion and operational readiness
• ensure policy, insurance, health, safety, and facility compliance
• maintain event records
• gather feedback and evaluate outcomes.
