Senior Transmission Line Engineer

The Senior Transmission Line Engineer position is hybrid in Diamond Bar, CA, with three days in the office and two days from home. The California base salary range is $165,000–$205,000 per year. Kosmos Group provides engineering solutions for power generation, transmission, substations, and distribution; this role supports its Transmission & Distribution practice. The engineer plans, analyzes, and designs transmission line projects across multiple utilities, coordinating with project teams, clients, vendors, and contractors. The role also supports permitting, prepares technical studies and design packages, reviews quality, supports construction, and mentors technical staff.

What you'll do

• Plan, analyze, and design transmission line projects
• coordinate with engineers, technical staff, vendors, clients, and contractors
• lead project meetings
• support permitting and licensing
• prepare reports, studies, plans, specifications, and design packages
• conduct quality reviews
• support construction through site visits, observation, and responses to RFIs
• mentor technical staff
• approve and stamp designs as Engineer of Record.
