What you'll do

• Review and contribute to certified nursing assistant activities
• administer ordered medications and injections
• provide ordered wound care
• prepare shift reports and recommendations
• communicate with residents’ families as needed
• participate in center surveys
• assist with nursing services in discharge plans
• admit, transfer, and discharge residents
• complete incident reports
• document care and resident responses in electronic files
• receive physician telephone orders
• order prescribed medications, supplies, and equipment
• handle narcotics according to regulations
• develop work assignments
• conduct rounds
• meet with nursing personnel
• provide professional services such as catheterizations, tube feedings, suction, dressing changes, colostomy care, and drainage-bag care
• participate in in-service and continuing education programs.
