Field Data Technician

Job overview

Compensation is $4–$5 per year. The Field Data Technician is an onsite role based in Jackson, MS, requiring routine overnight travel. , though the role offers hourly pay plus bonuses and vehicle usage reimbursement, supporting Osmose Utilities Services' national infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for collecting critical technical data on utility and telecommunication facilities. By hiking between utility poles and documenting equipment, the technician supports outside plant engineering and fiber-optic construction projects.

What you'll do

• Collect field data including attachment heights and span distances.
• Submit organized data including maps, field notes, and digital images.
• Operate tablet computers, digital cameras, and measuring tools.
• Communicate daily with project management.
• Work independently in outdoor environments.
