CNC Machinist — First Shift

The CNC Machinist — First Shift role is onsite in Elk Grove Village, IL, with compensation of $25–$35 per hour. Acme Industries manufactures complex precision-machined components for aerospace, defense, power generation, mining, and transportation customers. This role operates CNC milling and turning equipment, performs simple to moderate setups, and inspects parts to meet close tolerances and finish specifications. Its work supports reliable production of demanding components across varied job-shop programs.

What you'll do

• Operate CNC machining centers and/or lathes
• perform simple to moderate setups
• adjust offsets, feeds, and speeds
• read engineering drawings and GD&T
• inspect parts using precision measurement tools
• document inspection results
• report nonconforming material and process concerns
• follow quality and safety procedures
• communicate job status and support continuous improvement.
