The Senior / Staff Perception Software Engineer role is onsite in Dallas, TX. Waabi develops Physical AI for autonomous transportation, including commercial autonomous trucks and robotaxis. The engineer develops and deploys perception algorithms that help self-driving vehicles interpret their surroundings. The work combines research, real-world data, simulation, and collaboration with platform and multidisciplinary teams to advance the company’s self-driving system.

What you'll do

• Prototype, evaluate, and iterate on perception algorithms using real-world data and simulations
• work on 3D detection and tracking of traffic agents and semantic understanding of traffic scenes
• support productization and deployment of algorithms
• write high-quality, structured, tested code
• collaborate across perception, motion forecasting, planning, traffic modeling, and sensor simulation
• work with large datasets and Waabi World
• contribute to research publications.
