Maintenance Assistant

The Maintenance Assistant role is onsite in Jacksonville, FL; compensation is not specified. The position supports the Gardens Memory Care community and its residents by helping keep the community safe, attractive, and well maintained. The assistant handles routine maintenance and minor repairs, supports preventive maintenance and inspections, and helps maintain the building, grounds, and signage. The role also responds to maintenance requests and coordinates small refurbishment work while supporting resident safety.

What you'll do

• Respond to resident, administrator, and staff maintenance requests
• complete minor carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, and locksmith repairs
• assist with fire and life-safety training and drills
• maintain preventive maintenance logs and support scheduled inspections
• coordinate small refurbishment jobs and contractor response
• maintain grounds, building interiors and exteriors, and signage.
