What you'll do

• Prepare meals that reflect children’s cultures and nutritional needs
• follow age-specific portions and USDA, Head Start, and CACFP guidelines
• maintain food safety and sanitation
• participate in family-style meals
• keep nutrition records
• review supply orders, store food properly, monitor temperatures, maintain kitchen materials, account for allergies, train kitchen assistants and volunteers, and coordinate food delivery to classrooms.
