Successful academy completion and passing the TCOLE licensing examination are conditions for full probationary Deputy Sheriff employment.

What you'll do

• Maintain academic standing at the approved law enforcement academy
• regularly report academy status and needs to assigned Sheriff's Office personnel
• follow academy, county, and Sheriff's Office policies
• attend scheduled classes and training unless excused
• maintain professional conduct and meet academy fitness requirements
• report injuries or conditions that may affect compliance
• perform Sheriff's Office duties when assigned during weeks without academy sessions.
