The Water/Wastewater Project Engineer role is onsite in Shreveport, LA, supporting Volkert’s Southwest Region. Compensation is not specified. Volkert works on infrastructure, environmental, and natural-resource improvements for communities. The engineer develops and manages municipal water and wastewater projects, coordinating design, permitting, construction, budgets, schedules, and communication with clients and project teams. The work supports the successful delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

What you'll do

• Design water transmission and distribution systems, pumping and conveyance systems, treatment systems, and rehabilitation or expansion projects
• develop site plans
• manage design, permitting, construction coordination, budgets, and schedules
• coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, government entities, and regulatory agencies
• prepare and check plans under QA/QC policy.
