The Veterinary Technician role is onsite in Vero Beach, FL, at Dr. Dan’s Animal Hospital. Compensation is $15–$17 per hour, commensurate with licensure and experience. VetEvolve supports veterinary practices with clinical insight and operational resources. The technician assists veterinarians and the medical support team in delivering clinical care to animal patients and education to clients. Clinical procedures, patient monitoring, accurate records, and organized treatment areas support hospital standards and efficient operations.

What you'll do

• Provide nursing care to hospitalized patients, including IV catheter placement, CRI management, medication administration, feeding tube placement, and monitoring
• prepare, monitor, and recover surgical patients
• assist veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures
• perform laboratory diagnostics
• operate and maintain radiology and ultrasound equipment
• administer prescribed medications, vaccines, and treatments
• maintain controlled-drug logs and records
• enter treatment plans and support medical recordkeeping, charge entry, and chart audits
• educate clients
• maintain clean, stocked treatment and surgical areas
• monitor inventory and assist with supply ordering
• collaborate across departments
• follow state practice acts, legal requirements, and hospital policies.
