Deputy Director of Community Schools — Bronx

The Deputy Director of Community Schools role is onsite in New York, NY, with pay of $80,000–$85,000 per year. New York Edge provides school-based afterschool and summer programming and coordinates community-school supports for students and families. The deputy director leads program operations and development across assigned sites, aligning resources and partnerships to address community needs and strengthen academic, social-emotional, and leadership opportunities for young people.

What you'll do

• Lead needs assessments and targeted strategies
• design and implement programming
• support curriculum alignment and inclusive, evidence-based approaches
• conduct site visits and evaluate program effectiveness
• build relationships with school leaders, families, and community partners
• oversee site operations, risk management, staff supervision, training, data analysis, budgets, grant compliance, reporting, recruitment, and retention
• support funding proposals and represent the organization at meetings and public functions.
