The Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor – Outpatient Treatment is a part-time role in Saint Paul, MN, with the program identified in North St. Paul. Compensation is $35 per hour for a consistent 20-hour weekly schedule. The counselor joins Addiction Health Center’s outpatient treatment team, which provides substance use disorder services, including ASAM Level 2.1 intensive outpatient programming. The counselor primarily facilitates treatment groups and maintains a small caseload for individual counseling and coordination. The role supports recovery, accountability, personal growth, and individualized treatment through evidence-based interventions and timely clinical documentation.

What you'll do

• Facilitate structured substance use disorder groups for adults in outpatient and intensive outpatient programming
• use motivational interviewing, CBT, DBT-informed skills, relapse prevention, and psychoeducation
• maintain a safe therapeutic environment
• complete group documentation
• facilitate in-person and virtual programming as assigned
• provide individual counseling and treatment coordination
• complete treatment plans and progress reviews
• monitor progress and participate in multidisciplinary consultation.
